Take Flight Friday- Black Cat Solo & Navy Wings Swordfish

This week for Take Flight Friday, we’re excited to announce two incredible additions to the flying display at the RAF Cosford Air Show 2026.

⚫ The Blackcats Solo Display
Representing the cutting edge of Royal Navy aviation, the Blackcats bring precision, power and agility to the skies. This dynamic solo display showcases the capability of the Wildcat helicopter, delivering tight manoeuvres and impressive handling that highlight modern naval aviation at its very best.

🛩️ Navy Wings Fairey Swordfish
In complete contrast, stepping back through history, we welcome the legendary Fairey Swordfish. Affectionately known as the “Stringbag”, this remarkable aircraft played a vital role during the Second World War. Its appearance is a powerful tribute to the courage and innovation of a bygone era, and a true living piece of aviation history.

✨ Together, they represent the evolution of naval aviation, from historic wartime heroics to modern-day capability.
Don’t miss your chance to see both of these incredible aircraft take to the skies.
