We’re excited to confirm that Bob Davy’s beautifully restored Yakovlev YAK‑3 will be on static display at the RAF Cosford Air Show 2026!
Built toward the end of World War II, the YAK‑3 quickly earned a reputation as one of the most agile and effective fighters of its era. After the war, this aircraft type was exported to Egypt, where the Egyptian Air Force continued flying YAK‑3s into the 1950s.
Following decades of inactivity, this particular aircraft returned to flight in 1995 after an extensive restoration. Today, it is operated on the French historic register and based in Antwerp, Belgium. Despite its continental home, its English owner Bob Davy regularly brings it to the UK during the summer months for displays and airshow appearances — making it a rare and special sight for enthusiasts.
Don’t miss the chance to see this remarkable warbird up close!
