Bell UH-1 Huey
The UH-1 (officially named Iroquois) was designed as a medical evacuation and utility helicopter for the US Army, and first flew in 1956. The Huey saw serve in countless conflicts, including the Vietnam War, and became one of the most successful helicopter designs of all time, with over 16,000 examples produced globally. Although the type is no longer in service with the US Army, it is still operated by countless nations around the world. The aircraft appearing at the Air Show is Huey G-UHIH which is owned and operated by MSS Holdings (UK) Ltd. The Huey will perform a pairs display with Loach G-OHGA as part of a Battlefield Support set-piece in the Flying Display.
