Harrier GR9

The Harrier, informally referred to as the Jump Jet, is the famous family of British-designed military jet aircraft capable of vertical/short take-off and landing (V/STOL) operations. The Harrier GR9 is was the most advanced version of the Harrier in UK service, incorporating the ability to use a wide range of advanced precision weaponry and new communication systems. The airframe on static display at the Air Show will be ZG477, which still wears its special 1(F) Sqn markings worn during the retirement of the Harrier GR9 in 2010. Our thanks to the RAF Museum for allowing this aircraft to be exhibited outside on the airfield site as part of the Air Show static displays in 2017.
