Cessna O-2 Skymaster
The Cessna Skymaster was designed to replace the Cessna Bird Dog in USAF service, with roles such as Forward Air Control and Psychological Operations. It has two engines, mounted in a ‘push-pull’ configuration which gives the Skymaster a unique shape. The type was used extensively during the Vietnam War by the USAF and of the 532 aircraft they operated, 178 were lost in action. The Skymaster attending the Air Show in 2017 is operated by the Postbellum Foundation in the Netherlands. The aircraft will be on static display in the Vintage Village.
