Cessna O-1 Bird-Dog

The Cessna Bird Dog was a light liaison and observation aircraft which served the US Air Force for 24 years. The basic design of the O-1 was developed from the popular civilian Cessna 170. During the Vietnam War the Bird Dog was used for reconnaissance, artillery adjustment, radio relay and forward air control duties with great effect. Two examples of the Bird Dog will be on display at the Air Show, one on static display in the Vintage Village and one as part of a Battlefield Support set-piece in the Flying Display.
