Many of the ground displays at the Air Show this year will be focused on our unique RAF100 static exhibition. Our ambitious vision for this important celebration means there will be even more attractive and exciting things to see and do on the ground this year, over and above our highly popular attractions.

Our hangar displays allow you to see behind the scenes at RAF Cosford and discover what training to become qualified RAF Technicians and Engineers looks like! With a number of military units based at RAF Cosford this is your opportunity to get hands on and find out what life in the Royal Air Force is really all about. There will be displays from the Defence School of Aeronautic Engineering, No.1 Radio School, Defence School of Photography, RAF School of Physical Education and many more.

Over the past 5 years, our STEM Hangar has grown to become a must-visit attraction at the Air Show. Showcasing the best that the RAF, Industry and academia have to offer in the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths, the STEM Hangar is an ideal chance to get real hands on experience of what it is like to be in some of the most diverse and exciting careers available. Gather information about future education opportunities and see just where your passions for all things STEM could take you..!

We know our visitors love visiting our Vintage Village each year, as we transport them back in time with classic vehicles, period entertainment and a vintage tea room. So for 2018 we're expanding and hosting 3 different villages! These form part of the special RAF100 static exhibitions and tie in with our RAF100 celebrations.

As well as looking at the history of the Royal Air Force, our RAF Village will showcase the very best of today's Royal Air Force. You'll be able to explore the range of RAF Careers available as both a Regular or Reservist. As well as hands on displays and exhibitions – including a mock-up Chinook helicopter - a number of Royal Air Force display teams will have a ground presence in the RAF Village, including your chance to meet the RAF Red Arrows pilots!
2018 marks the Royal Air Force's centenary, and throughout the year there will be numerous events across the United Kingdom to Commemorate, Celebrate and Inspire as part of 'RAF100'. With Royal Air Force Cosford hosting the Royal Air Force's only official Air Show, our event forms a key element of the RAF100 celebrations.

Our mission for the Royal Air Force Cosford Air Show 2018 is to create the most spectacular and interactive Air Show tribute to the Royal Air Force's centenary. Headlining the RAF100 celebrations at RAF Cosford will be a unique ground display involving 100 aircraft (representing 100 years), showcasing the history of the Royal Air Force in chronological order across the airfield site. The display will be arranged in four zones, each covering key events of the past century. This will enable visitors to walk the site and journey through the history of the Royal Air Force, and aviation as a whole. Returning visitors will recognise elements of our highly popular 'Vintage Villages' represented in each zone, where visitors will be immersed in the period's history.

RAF100 will be the sole theme for the flying display at the RAF Cosford Air Show 2018. With 100 years of history to cover, the programme will include a huge number of historic Royal Air Force aircraft. The flying display programme will be flown in chronological order immersing our visitors in the RAF100 story and showcasing how aircraft and air power has developed during the last 100 years.

This will truly be a spectacular tribute to the world's oldest independent Air Force.
